It’s only a matter of few days before Samsung launches its next flagship model, the Galaxy S IV at the Mobile Unpacked event in New York. The Korean company though doesn’t seem to have forgotten about the Galaxy S III, which quite simply changed the way people looked at Samsung products. According to a tweet by Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin, Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a refreshed version of the Galaxy S III. (more…)Google+

XDA Developer forum member Alephazain claims to have found an exploit in Samsung Android smartphones that could allow Android Malware to run riot on an Exynos processor based smartphone. This of course includes the Samsung Galaxy S III, the Galaxy Note II, the Galaxy S II and even the Meizu MX that is powered by the Samsung Exynos processor. At the moment this problem is reportedly isolated to the Exynos 4210 and 4412 chips and other devices using these chips could also be affected by the problem. (more…...

Over the last month we have heard a few rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S IV. It is expected to have a new quad-core Exynos chip based on the ARM Cortex A15 architecture, 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and a 13-megapixel camera. Today, SamMobile has also reconfirmed this very rumor and says that Samsung is prepping for a Galaxy S IV launch in April 2013 under a codename of Project J. (more…)Google+

According to a report by research firm Strategy Analytics the Samsung Galaxy S III was the best selling smartphone in Q3 of 2012. The report states that Samsung sold 18 million Galaxy S III units while Apple sold 16.2 million units of the iPhone 4S. (more…)Google+

Samsung seems to have started rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III in India, BGR India reader @iReshabh has tipped us. Only last month, Samsung had started updating Galaxy S III smartphones in Europe with Android 4.1. (more…)Google+

Approximately two months ago Samsung said that it had sold 20 million Galaxy SIIIs in about two months. Two months later, Samsung’s Polish arm has posted on its Twitter page that Samsung has sold over 30 million Galaxy SIII smartphones since its May unveil. (more…)Google+

Samsung has slashed the price of the Galaxy S III yet again and it is now available for Rs 34,900. This is the third major price drop the phone has received after its launch in June. Samsung had launched the Galaxy S III at a street price of Rs 42,500 but its price dropped to Rs 38,900 within a week after the launch. Now that Apple has unveiled the iPhone 5, everyone is wondering how it fares up against its main rivals. By main rivals we of course mean the Samsung Galaxy S III and the recently announced Nokia Lumia 920. A Samsung Galaxy S III running an early build of an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM has popped up on YouTube that seemingly looks like a leaked official build. Based on the video we can decipher that the build is pretty stable and is close to a final release build. (more…)Google+

Samsung has announced it has sold 10 million units of the Galaxy S III globally. The news is right on cue as the company had earlier said the milestone will be achieved in July. Initially, Samsung had announced the Galaxy S III had scored over 9 million pre-orders, mostly from carriers worldwide. (more…)Google+

The initial shortage of Galaxy S III units might have cost Samsung about 2 million unit sales in June alone, according to a Reuters report. The Galaxy S III is the fastest selling smartphone for Samsung and is expected to cross 10 million unit sales sometime in July, less than two months of its global launch. (more…)Google+
