LG’s webOS running smart TV leaked ahead of CES launch

LG was expected to launch a webOS-running smart TV at next week's CES but it seems we won't have to wait till then to check it out. Our favorite leakster, @evleaks, has revealed the smart TV in all its glory. As expected, the TV retains the card tile menu system from webOS, which inspired the multitasking menu for both Android and iOS. More →

Panasonic, today announced its new range of Smart Viera flat panel televisions which focus on picture quality, networking, easy operation, design and eco-friendliness. These models ranging from 24 to 55 inches are priced between Rs. 13,990 to Rs. 3,20,000. Samsung launches 55-inch OLED TV at CES

Samsung has joined the OLED bandwagon at CES, as they announced their 55-inch OLED television. Samsung is saying that the television is produced from a single pane of glass with each pixel having, its own RGB sub-pixels. Samsung also touts that these Super OLED TVs are 1000 times faster than LEDs and consume less electricity than standard LCDs. Apart from these niceties the OLED TVs will feature natural-interface technologies with the combination of Voice Control, Motion Control and Facial Recognition for navigating media. More →

Lenovo brings ICS powered 55-inch TV to the CES floor

Lenovo has launched the world’s most advanced 55-inch TV, the K91 which is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at the Consumer Electronic Show 2012, in Las Vegas.  Apart from ICS the TV boasts of a pretty powerful 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. For the sake of usability Lenovo has equipped the K91 TV with advanced voice-recognition algorithms, a 5-megapixel camera for video interactions via facial recognition and a remote control, which incorporates a touch pad, a 5-way d-pad and a motion sensor.
