The OnePlus 6 has finally been launched. Priced at $529 (approximately Rs 35,800) onwards, the highly-anticipated smartphone is finally here. And as expected, the device is a powerhouse of epic proportions, sporting the best hardware available today for Android smartphones.
The OnePlus 6 adheres to pretty much everything we had expected, from the notched display to the specifications under the hood. The OnePlus 6 comes with a 6-28-inch full-HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The device has the notch cutout at the top of the screen, which holds the earpiece, front camera, notification LED and proximity sensor. The screen stretches further at the bottom as well, but it isn’t quite as edge-to-edge as the Apple iPhone X. There’s a slim area at the bottom that isn’t screen.
The back of the phone is where most of the aesthetic differences are visible. The OnePlus 6 features a glass back, and is available in four color variants: Mirror Black, Midnight Black, Silk White and Avengers Black. The first three are standard editions and will be available through the phone’s life cycle, while the Avengers: Infinity War edition will be limited. For the time being, the standard editions will go on sale, starting with the Mirror Black variant.
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is the current flagship SoC from Qualcomm and arguably the best mobile chipset in the world. There are different storage and RAM variants of the phone, starting with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, going up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is only on the Avengers edition for now, and the only configuration for that edition. Here is our first look at the new OnePlus 6!
