Microsoft makes phone calls to Ukraine free through Skype

Microsoft in support of Ukraine has made available access to make free phone calls to Ukraine on all platforms. Skype users in Ukraine are now also allowed to make free phone calls via Skype to people in other countries.

Microsoft currently operates a number of communication apps including Teams, Kaizala and Skype to name a few. The software giant has now released a new preview version of Skype, which is currently available for Skype Insiders. One of the key features of the new preview version is the ability for users to make free phone calls to Ukraine on all platforms. Skype Insider build version 8.82 is currently available for download for Skype Insiders. The new version brings in a number of bug fixes, stability improvements, and support for the Google Play Store in-app billing to purchase credit, subscriptions and Skype numbers. Apart from this, in support for Ukraine, the company has also made available access to make free phone calls to Ukraine on all platforms. Skype users in Ukraine are now also allowed to make free phone calls via Skype to people in other countries. Apart from the new features, Microsoft has added a list of non-profit organizations to the Skype Home Page, which will allow people across the world to donate money in order to support the Ukrainian people. Microsoft has also added support for more languages in Translated Conversations on all platforms. This feature will allow people to translate calls from the Ukrainian language so that they can more easily communicate with people in the country. It also added new “Support Ukraine” emoticons like “Ukraine Heart”, “Ukraine Handshake” and “Ukraine Pray”.
