Ola launches e-rickshaws on its app in Lucknow

India's most popular mobile app for transportation, today announced the launch of electric-rickshaws (popularly known as E-Rickshaws), on its app in Lucknow. With this launch, Lucknow becomes the second city in India to get E-Rickshaws on the Ola app, after Delhi-NCR, where it was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, in April 2016. Soon, smartphones batteries to be charged by bacteria

In the future, if your smartphone has started to run out of battery, you may have to turn to the invisible bugs to charge it up. A team of scientists from Oxford University showed how the natural movement of bacteria could be harnessed to assemble and power microscopic "windfarms" or other man-made micromachines such as smartphone components. The study used computer simulations to demonstrate that the chaotic swarming effect of dense active matter such as bacteria can be organized to turn cylindrical rotors and provide a steady power source.
