There is quite a bit of buzz around the forthcoming iPhone 6, especially with the recent leaks hinting towards iPod touch-like looks, curved edges and an overall slimmer design. A dummy model leaked by Nowhereelse.fr all but confirms the new design language.
Huawei is planning on launching its next flagship device, the Ascend P7, and the first leaked photos have made their way to the Internet. The phone bears resemblance to the current flagship smartphone from Huawei, the Ascend P6, and the recently launched Ascend P7 Mini.
Back in March, when the Nokia X was launched, interest for the other models from the Nokia X range, especially the Nokia XL, was clearly felt. And now, almost two months hence, Nokia is ready to launch the better equipped XL tomorrow. Internet lag can be outrightly frustrating. To prove the point Swedish ISP (Internet Service Provider) Umea Energi did a small experiment involving four individuals with an arrangement of Oculus Rift, Raspberry Pi, and a webcam strapped on their heads. The ISP wanted to prove that "You wouldn't accept lag offline, so why do it online?"
As expected, Apple has today updated the MacBook Air with latest generation processors, but has kept the styling intact. The laptop now gets a 1.4GHz Intel Haswell dual-core Core i5 (with Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz) processor, an upgrade over the erstwhile 1.3GHz version. Apple has also slashed the prices of all four models by Rs 2,000 in India. So the base 128GB MacBook Air 11-inch is now available for Rs 65,900 and the 256GB for 79,900. The MacBook Air 13-inch is now available for Rs 72,900 for the 128GB version and Rs 86,900 for the 256GB version.
Microsoft has made group video calling on Skype free to users on Mac OS X, Windows desktop, and Xbox One. Launched in January 2011, the group video calling feature was available only to premium users that required a monthly fees to access it. But now, with its inclusion as a standard feature for its users, Skype gets ready to catch up with the competition. The group video calling feature can support up to 10 desktops (both Windows and Mac) and up to 4 Xbox One devices in a conversation.
Apple MacBook Air has been the more desirable than the MacBook Pro when it comes to looks and portability, but with the latter adopting a thinner profile than ever, it's intriguing what Apple will do to set the MacBook Air apart.
