Lenovo was founded in Beijing in 1984, and currently operates in 60 countries and also sells its products in over 160 countries. The company sells a range of products from PCs, smart televisions, to smartphones and tablets. In 2005 the company acquired IBM’s PC business, and in 2012 was crowned as the world’s second-largest PC vendor. It began selling smartphones in 2012, and in 2014 it acquired Motorola Mobility from Google for $2.91 billion.
