There are thousands of app on the Google Play Store, but one that most people are using on their phones these days is the mobile version of the popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. PUBG Mobile has become a phenomenon in itself which is to say that social media and people in general are are abuzz about it.

PUBG Mobile involves 100 people dropping in on a map where they find guns and other equipment, with the sole objective of eliminating all enemies to be the last man or person standing. Players have to achieve this objective all the while a deadly blue circle closes in on the map.

Now PUBG is a game with a lot of variables and the PC version of the game is pretty heavy and requires high end hardware to perform efficiently. The Mobile version of the game is not much different in terms of the specifications that are needed to play. Which makes it difficult for budget smartphones to run the game with all the bells and whistles.

But we have compiled a list of the smartphones that we think will be well suited to run the game despite being priced at or under Rs 20,000.

Xiaomi Poco F1

The Poco F1 from Xiaomi is one of the best smartphones in its price segement, if not the best and will be perfect to run the game with its flagship processor. Poco F1 garnered all the spotlight at launch for being the world’s most affordable device to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. In fact, it still retains that crown.

The smartphone also features a 6.18-inch Full HD+ notched display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Last year’s flagship chipset offers great multitasking and gaming experience, and the company has also added a liquid cooling heat pipe to ensure that the device remains cool under a heavy workload. Making sure everything ticks is a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support which will be efficient for quickly recharging the phone in between those gaming sessions.
