Electronic Arts, known for its list of most popular games franchises out there, made the day for its fans at E3 2018 through ‘EA Play’. There have been some big developments that the developer shared and among those were new trailers for Anthem and Unravel 2. Let’s start with the game that a whole lot of people have been waiting to hear something about for a year now. Anthem was first showcased last year at E3 and since then has created a lot of stir. Anthem shows a world that has been threatened by a storm and has almost wiped out an entire civilization. And the player will be among the last few humans to take on this harsh world in exosuits calls ‘Javelins’. Players along with three of their friends will have to protect a city where survivors live from giant monsters and hordes of other enemies threatening to wipe them all.
Command and Conquer: Rivals
Command and Conquer: Rivals is EA’s attempt to bring the popular strategy franchise to smartphones. Though not much else is known about this yet, it will be coming to Android and iOS.
Battlefield V was already announced a little while back, and EA opened the event with announcements for this game. The game looks just as impressive as in the previous trailer and new details say that players will be able to smash out of windows. The devs also revealed that there will be a battle royale mode in the new game but will be arriving later. No loot boxes or Premium pass for the game.
EA really went overboard with one of their most popular franchises, FIFA. This year’s installment will be featuring Champions Leagues that was missing in FIFA. There are new Ultimate Team modes and the game will be launching on September 18. The FIFA 19 experience can be played as a trial on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 now.
Origin Access Premier
EA Origin Access is EA’s attempt to take part in the streaming game service race and the company says that the project is in development right now. This means players will be able to stream EA games to any devices once it comes out. Besides this EA Origin Access is getting an expansion called Origin Access Premier that will be providing more benefits.
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
Again not much details about the Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order game and all we know that the game will let the protagonist play as a Jedi and is ste between Star Wars: Episode III and Episode IV. The game is expected to launch during the holiday season of 2019.
EA launched Unravel two which is a direct sequel to Unravel which had some mixed reviews from people. And now the protagonist made of yarn is getting a new game which is reminiscent of the old one.
Sea of Solitude
Sea of Solitude has won quite a few heart since the trailer was dropped by EA. This dark themed game shows how people tackle different types of loneliness. This Indie game like Firewatch and Submerged will had the player search through a flooded city while confronting many ‘demons’.
NBA Live 19
There’s another new NBA game coming this year and this looks to be a step up from last year’s one.
Madden NFL 19
Madden NFL 19 seems like it will be a significantly better game than last year as well.
There were other announcements about EA’s contribution to charity but the ones mentioned above are the major gaming related ones from EA Play.
