It looks like Fortnite developer Epic Games may be planning to make its “Save the World” mode free this season. For the people who may not have followed the world of gaming in some time, Fortnite is one of the most popular Battle Royale games in the gaming world at the time of writing while attracting more than 125 million players. Primarily, Fortnite is a player vs player (PvP) game where one would play against another player but the game developer also launched player vs environment (PvE) mode called “Save the World”.
According to a report by VGR, the PvE mode is not free right now but a tweet by FNBRLeaks points out that Epic Games may be planning to make the mode free soon. Even though the company has not issued any statement about the PvE mode but, the report points out that Twitter handle @FNBRLeaks has a good track record of providing “accurate leaks” along with correct predictions. According to the report, the PvE mode is likely to be “available to a wider audience” during August or September.

For the people who don’t know what the PvE mode will bring to the table, in this mode, the game emphasizes teamwork where players have to defend against “hordes of zombie-like creatures”.

The report added that similar to the PvP mode, building structures is an important part of the game where users can create structures and then upgrade them to make them stronger.
The basic version of the PvE mode has been priced at $40 at the time of writing. Epic Games has also tried to put the mode on sale by reducing the price to $20 instead of the regular price.
