Epic Games, the creator of popular battle royale game Fortnite, announced the sixth season yesterday. The update has been one of the most anticipated season among all Fortnite gamers, but it has not been very well received like other seasons in the past.
One Fortnite streamer who goes by the name Agony first tweeted about an element in the sixth season that has not gone down well with all gamers. The update features an elaborate breast animations for the new “Calamity” avatar. The animation only appears when the avatar portrays emotion in its default skin. An Epic spokesperson has now said that it was unintended and should not have shipped.

“This is unintended, embarrassing, and it was careless for us to let this ship. We are working now to fix this as soon as possible,” a spokesperson for Epic Games told The Verge.
The animation portrayed by the Calamity avatar is embarrassing and it is not clear how the game studio let it slip past the quality assessment. The only good thing to come out of this situation is the prompt response from Epic to fix the issue. On Twitter, Epic Games said that it has temporarily “disabled elements of the animation system.”
As one can judge from the tweet by “Agony”, the physics behind this character and its emotion does not really feel unintentional. Epic Games, considering its reach in the gaming industry, should have stopped such portrayal even before it reached players.
