Epic Games’ crown jewel Fortnite’s latest reason to dominate the gaming news sections has been the recent launch of its port for Android devices. And soon after the launch of the game on select Android devices, the game developers had a rather big update lined up with a game changing Heavy Sniper Rifle and other additions.

And the update which is numbered as 5.21, is now live, and brings with it the new Heavy Sniper Rifle which can literally one shot people as well as metal walls. Along with it the update also brings a new hero to the Save the World mode and a new Weekly Hoard Challenge.

The patch notes says, “Redeploy your glider and stay mobile in the newest limited time mode, Soaring 50’s. Discover the new legendary sniper rifle in Battle Royale and meet Save the World’s newest Constructor, Thora!”

There are two new limited time modes announced in these patch notes as well which are Sniper Shooter, where plays will be allowed to use only sniper rifles, and Soaring 50s that is described as “a twist on the traditional 50 vs 50 mode, featuring an extra emphasis on mobility.” Along with the new hero Thora, there is also a new weekly challenge mode named “Bullet Proof Husks”

The new update brings with it some bug fixes, and some bugs of its own it seems. Because some Android users have been complaining of crashes since the new update hit the servers. Epic Games addressed this issue and tweeted “We’re aware of an increase in crashes in Battle Royale since the release of v5.21. We’ve identified the issue and are working towards a fix. We’ll update you once we have more information.”
