And now Epic Games is trying to make sure that these unfortunate things don t happen by asking people to activate the two-factor authentication on their Epic Games accounts. And this time there is an awesome incentive for people to get the two-factor authentication activated, which is instantly unlocking the Boogiedown Emote in Fortnite Battle Royale. The two-factor authentication feature from Epic Games currently supports either using an authenticator app or an email address authentication method. The code from the app or email will be asked for only the first time when logging into the account on a device, or if it has been 30 days since the last login, or the cookies has been cleared or logging in from a new device.
How to activate two-factor authentication for Epic Games:
In your Epic Games account go to Account Settings > Password & Security tab.
Head to the bottom of the page and under the section named Two-Factor Authentication click either Enable Authenticator App or Enable Authenticator Email based on preference.
