The world’s biggest game right now, Fortnite is all set to hold its next seasonal competition, the Fall Skirmish beginning on September 21, which is next Friday. Like last time, players will be able to win prize money based on how successful they have been in the game. And this time around Epic Games is introducing another way players can earn more prizes for themselves, which is the new Showdown Royale tournament. This is set to be an in-game tournament that Epic Games will be holding in the initial weeks of October.
Just like the Summer Skirmish the Fall Skirmish also comes with a huge prize pool of $10 million, in fact this time around it’s the biggest prize money yet in any Fortnite tournament. This prize money will be distributed in different kinds of modes that players can participate in. Epic Games mentions that it is working on new kinds for modes to offer people this time at the Fall Skirmish.
In its blog describing the Fall Skirmish on its website, Epic Games writes:
The new approach for Fall Skirmish will include both Competitive and Entertainment play formats. We’re looking to incorporate some of these new formats into our large-scale events in 2019. During Fall Skirmish, players will proudly represent themed teams and earn points based on their performances in both play formats. Each week will pose new challenges like white-knuckle ATK races, masterful golf outings, mini-games, and of course high skill competition every weekend.
Fortnite has not provided any more information right now, but we expect more next week, before the event begins. Epic Games is expected to intimate players on the modes, and how the event will occur and end on TwitchCon which is scheduled for October 26-28.

There isn’t much details about Showdown Royale as well, and all we know for now is that this ‘tournament system’ will be open for all.
