Fortnite is the most popular game in the world, period. And Epic Games has been able to achieve this by introducing timely patches and quick fixes of issues that has kept user complaints to a minimum. Usually Fortnite patches hit the servers on Tuesdays, but this time around it has been delayed for the version 5.30.
There could be a few reasons for this and we will be returning to that topic later. But what does need to be talked about right now is that Epic Games is set to introduce a new item in the game called Rift-to-Go which is clearly stated in the ingame upcoming update screen that one sees on launching the game.
Here the Rift-to-Go has been described as, “A rift you carry in your pocket! Teleport above your current location and glide down.” And going by this description, this new rift generating item will be a teleporter of sorts that players can tuck into their inventory for when the need of it arises. We assume this will teleport the player up in the sky directly above their position to give them an advantage in fights to just disappear and glide down to appear behind the enemy. We just need to wait a few more hours to see how it will work.
Coming back to the delay in releasing the update, this is not the first time this has happened. A similar delay happened near the end of the Season 4 and it might be indicative of some surprises that Epic Games may be planning. This might mean that Fortnite is planning another Rocket Launch like event that will change how the game is played. And this won’t be the first time Epic Games has ended a season in surprise.
