After being slightly behind schedule, Fortnite Season 6 has finally arrived and is bringing in plenty of new features, some expected and some unexpected. The new season, seems to be embracing the upcoming month of Halloween has new elements to offer around it. For starters, the battle Map seems to have gotten a spooky overhaul now with some new locations such as Floating islands, Haunted castle, Corrupted areas and Corn fields.

One of the biggest additions this time though are pets. Yes, now you can play the game with a tiny companion who will go where you go in the map. A list of available pets hasn’t been mentioned, but the teaser video for the season, showcases there to be a dog, a chameleon and a dragon. There’s also not much we know about their abilities yet. It is highly likely that they will not be a part of the combat and will have to be unlocked using Battle Pass.

Fortnite is also introducing a consumable called Shadow Stone. According to the Patch Notes after consuming the Shadow Stone, players will enter a shadow form that will make them invisible to other players, while not moving. While being in this form however, players will not be able to use any weapons. That said, they can move faster, jump higher and have a better fall damage immunity. They can phase through walls as well.
