Nintendo Switch users have been expecting a Pok mon game for a while now and Game Freak seems to have heard their wishes and acted upon it. The company just released a new free Pok mon game called Pok mon Quest for Nintendo Switch via the eShop. According to the developers this is part of a bigger Pok mon game reveal that is coming up for Nintendo Switch. The developer will be launching two new Pok mon games called Pok mon: Let s Go, Pikachu! and Pok mon: Let s Go, Eevee! soon.
The Pok mon Quest game is set on Tumblecube Island which complements its Minecraft like cube-like environment. Players will have to explore, battle and set up a base camp using the touch controls of the Switch.
Pok mon Quest will be set in the world of Pok mon Red and Blue which means it will take place in the Kanto region and players will have the same starting Pok mons that Ash had and be able to catch the first 150 Pok mons on the Pok dex.
Players will be able to cook and customize their base camp like they want, and even adjust the stats of their own Pok mon squad as they want using power stones and other items.
The game Pok mon Quest is free to download and has in-app purchases with a mobile version of the game set to launch late in June for both iOS and Android on the App Store and Play Store. There is no word yet about whether in-App purchases will be affecting the progression of the game or just be cosmetic items.
