Even though the game was launched 13 months ago, Ubisoft has been fairly regular with the updates of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. And players are in for a treat as Ubisoft has now announced that it will be bringing out new content for the whole Year 2 cycle.
The open-world shooter adventure will be getting new content for both the players versus enemies and players versus players for Ghost War on all the platforms. These will be free and the whole of Year 2 will see four “major” content updates. Each of these updates will contain content for both the PvE and PvP modes. Each of these four updates will be called Special Operations updates and possibly have different themes, that would cater to the public requests made by gamers.

There will be free special challenges and missions as well that will award players with special rewards, but there will be paid content as well. According to update post from Ubisoft, the first update, Special Operation 1, is scheduled for April 10 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. It will have the following, apart from a big special reveal.
“Teammate Customization: You asked for it, and we heard you. AI Teammates’ outfits can now be customized in our Campaign Mode to suit your gameplay approach. All-out stealth or R6 tribute? The choice is yours.
Sabotage: We are bringing a new mode and set of maps to Ghost War, with our new mode, Sabotage. The attacking team is tasked with capturing and holding an objective before the timer runs out, while the defending team tries to stop them. The attackers and defenders can also win the round by eliminating the opposing team.
Year 2 Pass: With a new year comes a new pass. Bringing early access to all Year 2 Ghost War classes, with a special customization pack and 8 Battle Crates included, our Year 2 pass will take your Wildlands experience to the next level.”
