God of War is all set to come out in a few days, and the hype has reached never-before heights with excellent reviews all around. The critics have been gushing over the development of the series, and a newly matured Kratos. And from what GameSport has reported, director Cory Barlog has a lot to say about what inspired him when making the game in the first place.
Back in 2008, director Cory Barlog had briefly left Sony to work with Mad Max director George Miller on a new Mad Max game. Though that game never released, Barlog says that he has garnered experience worth a lifetime working with Miller. Talking about his experience Barlog said, “It’s just unfortunate the way that sometimes games go that they ended up going in a different direction, and George and I ended up not working on that one with them. But the learnings I got from that definitely made [the new God of War] possible, I think, to do this.”
He even went on to say that the people surrounding Miller keep dropping amazing ideas like they were nothing, and he eagerly held on to those nuggets to use later. God of War will be hitting the stores on April 20 worldwide, and will be available exclusively for Sony PlayStation 4 models.
