Did you ever think that you would need your speakers to light up and give you a sense of what is onscreen? Maybe not, but Logitech has come up with the technology anyway, and it is reportedly something people need to try.

Logitech’s new G560 speakers bring with it four RBG LED lighting zones that can project the ambient light according to what’s being displayed on your screen. The G560 is a 2.1 speaker system that maxes out at 240 watts of power and 120 watt RMS. The speakers use DTS:X Ultra technology, which simulates surround sound and take after the Logitech MX Sound speakers launched last year.

The system consists of two round speakers balanced by two bumps on the sides, and a main sub-woofer that faces downward. It offers connection to four devices at once using USB, Bluetooth and 3.5mm port.

The lighting on Logitech G560 speakers is achieved using the company’s LIGHTSYNC technology. This essentially matches the color of the lights to that of the screen, even when watching a movie. Logitech is looking for game developers to integrate the system in unique ways. For example, when playing games and your health is low, the lights could turn red as an indication.

The other product that was launched together and which also comes with the LIGHTSYNC technology is the Logitech G513 Gaming Keyboard. With the G513, Logitech offers an option of two Logitech G exclusive Romer-G mechanical key switches, Romer-G Tactile and Romer-G Linear. The tactile version provides soft tactile feedback during actuation while the linear version gives you a smooth keystroke. The switches actuate up to 25 percent faster than the leading competitor at a distance of 1.5mm, combined with a low-force 45g actuation.

The Logitech G513 comes in two color options, Carbon which will be available worldwide, and Silver that will only be available in select markets. The Logitech G560 Speakers and the G513 Gaming Keyboard are priced at $200 (Rs 13,000 approximately), and $150 (Rs 9,760 approximately) respectively. Both the products will be available at global retailers beginning April 2018.
