Epic Games’ most successful game Fortnite is all set to get a new mode soon, called ‘Playground’. According to news from the devs, this is set to be the most significant update since the dev introduced the battle royale mode in the game. This is set to be a limited time mode that will be hitting the servers soon.
According to the devs, this is a much different gameplay compared to the other limited time events that we have seen up until now. The new mode will let the players practice, build, die and respawn, which gives them more freedom compared to the battle royale mode. The update is supposed to hit the servers on June 26.
Here’s how Epic Games described it in its blog.
The Playground LTM will load you into the Battle Royale Map with some adjusted settings.
Battle and build to your heart’s content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately.

This mode will give the players the freedom and time to be creative with how and what they build and test out weapons like they want to. The blog even mentions that this might become a full-time mode, which we assume depends on how people take it.
