Oppo has unveiled its first ever PUBG themed store in Bengaluru. In a press statement issued today, Oppo said that after receiving multiple entries from a total of 10,000 teams from over 2000 colleges and a month-long action-packed tournament Oppo decided to open this unique showroom to cater to the youth of India.
The all-new Oppo brand showroom has been designed like the real battleground from popular game PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds). Along with the combat feel, consumers will be able to experience PUBG‘s virtual world experience in real.
Commenting on the store launch, Will Yang, Brand Director, Oppo India, said, “With PUBG’s massive success amongst the youngster, we are delighted to announce the revamp of our brand showroom based on PUBG. Our unique showroom has been designed to cater to the youth of India who are continuously following new and interesting trends in the market. By leveraging this partnership with Tencent Games, Oppo wants to strengthen its relationship with the youngsters as the F9 Pro is the perfect combination for unified and unique experience.”
Along with the winner of mega prize pool of Rs 50 lakhs, other participants of the month-long PUBG tournament by Oppo were also awarded by the company at this occasion.
The popular mobile game PUBG recently crossed its latest landmark with over 100 million installs on the Google Play Store. The game, developed by Tencent Games, is currently among the most popular mobile games available for smartphones, and has been particularly successful on the Android platform.
