Fortnite has become a rage in the gaming world, and it has started to grab attention of the rest of the world as well. The name of the game has become rather common news with it breaking records all the time. People are not just playing the game, but watching it a lot as well, and it has been topping the charts on Twitch for a few months now. And it always helps if famous celebrities like Drake participate in an online stream playing the game alongside someone like Ninja who happens to be the most popular Twitch streamer right now.
Though many people have complained about the addictive nature of the game, some parents seem to have taken the opportunity presented by this game in their stride. And now they are not only treating Fortnite as a competent and competitive sport, they are also hiring tutors for their children. Parents are shelling out as much as $20 per hour for tutors.
Ally Hicks is a parent who told the Journal that she paid almost $50 for four hours of Fortnite tuition for her ten-year-old son, and said, “There’s pressure not to just play it but to be really good at it. You can imagine what that was like for him at school.”

“I want them to excel at what they enjoy. They’re not going to break a leg playing video games,” said Euan Robertson who hired a Fortnite tutor for his teenage sons. Fortnite tutors can be hired on websites like Gamer Sensei where freelancers list themselves. And for now it seems e-sports is well on its way to becoming a proper sport.
