PUBG or PlayerUnknown s Battlegrounds from Bluehole is one of the most popular games in the world right now, and its presence on PC, Xbox and the mobile platform has proliferated its player base. PUBG was first launched with the Erangel map, which was the only map for almost a year before a new one was introduced. Erangel is still the official map for the tournaments even though it s been a while since the release of Miramar and Sanhok. Here we will be talking about the Sanhok map, which is a lush Asian rainforest map based on tropical islands in Thailand and the Philippines. This is essentially a close-quarters combat map which means that there are very few places to snipe enemies from a long distance. This map is tightly packed with trees and other obstacles. It is the third map to be added to PUBG and is smaller than the other two maps. Erangel and Miramar measure 8×8 kms while Sanhok is half the size at 4×4 kms. Even the amount of guns found on Sanhok is much more than Erangel and Miramar. This means quicker matches with deadlier battles. Also Read - PUBG may become even more realistic in the coming days
The map has been divided into three major islands and people must traverse bridges and shallow waterways to reach the circle. It has some exclusive weapons and vehicles which are not there in the other maps. It has different weather settings as well, such as clear, fog and rain. Here are some tips to help you win matches on Sanhok.
Choosing the drop location
Like in the other maps, choosing an appropriate drop location is essential. Sanhok is a small map which means more chances of people going further out. The hot zones for dropping in Sanhok are Paradise Resort, Bootcamp, Pai Nan, Camp Charlie and Cave. These places always attract a lot of players because these are centrally placed and offer a lot of loot. Dropping in these areas will guarantee an intense and uncertain early fight.
For those that want to avoid that the places to land would be Na Kham, Ban Tai, Docks, Khao, Tat Mok, Ha Tinh, Camp Alpha and Camp Bravo depending which is further away from the path of the flight. There are always chances that a few people will be landing there, but the fights won t be as intense. Loot is not a problem since Sanhok offers a lot of loot almost everywhere.
Navigating the Dynamic Circle
The deadly Blue Circle on Sanhok is a little different from those of Erangel and Miramar, because it moves quicker, in smaller time intervals. This was done to keep players on their toes and make sure that matches are quicker and fights more intense. The percentage of damage done by each phase of the circle is the same as the other maps but the time intervals are much smaller which means more damage at the end of the day. Looting in the first couple of circles is okay but, more than that can be deadly.
Sanhok is a very small map, which means that there are more chances of running across people when driving. And since vehicles make a lot of noise, it is easy to hear them from a long way off. And people in vehicles always make for easy targets. Hence, vehicles are only viable when trying to survive the blue circle, when the white circle is quite far away.

Using extreme caution when looting air dropped crates
This one is again another side effect of having more players per square kilometer. Loot crates are gold mines for some quick and great loot and hence attracts a lot of people, much more than the other maps. Hence loot crates become regular battlefields and sometimes even go ignored during the later phases of the circle when dropped in an open area, because people just don t want to risk it. The general rule of thumb is that you should be sure that the loot crate is pretty far away from most people, or wait around to ambush the people who go to loot the crate first before going for it.
Being mindful of the surroundings
Sanhok is a map that is thick with vegetation which means that is it harder to spot people compared to the other maps. The chances that you would be spotted by a player who is prone in the grass behind a rock is much more. Hence always keep an open eye and keep turning the camera to spot the enemy before they spot you.
