Popular battle-royale game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has recently come up with a new update that introduced quite a few new features, and now creator of the game, Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene has tweeted about a new feature of the game. This new feature has has been requested time and again by the players on all the online platforms that the devs of the game are present on.
In a new tweet from his own account, Playerunknown said that the devs are going to bring a lot of quality of life improvements in the game, beginning with the test server like always. This new update will include the map selection option as well and the patch notes of the new update will be released later this week.
“We have lots of QOL fixes coming to the @PUBG Test Server soon, including an overhaul of our map selection system! Stay tuned for the full patch notes later this week.” His tweet read. It even includes an image of the main menu of the game showing what the new map selection would look like.

The image shows that players will be able to select either Erangel, Miramar or Sanhok on the map selection section along with a new option called Quick Join. These will replace the current options of either selection the two bigger maps Erangel and Miramar as “Battle Royale” or Sanhok as “Mini-Royale”.

The new option called Quick join will match the player on either of the three maps and has the shortest waiting time to find a match. We can assume that selecting less maps will increase the wait time to find a match.
