One of the most popular mobile games in the world right now is PUBG Mobile, and India is a very big contributor to this fact. India has a massive base of people who play Android games, and PUBG Mobile has taken the fancy of the country. Unlike the PC version of the game, PUBG Mobile is free to play and has only in-game purchases. The PC version of PUBG requires some sturdy specs to run while most smartphones available can run PUBG Mobile.
And to capitalize on the market in India, Tencent Games has now come up with two television commercials that are being broadcast on Indian television networks. This would be a first for the company as it has not made TVCs before. This is a first for India as well, because this is the first time that a video game TVC is being aired on television networks.
One of the TVCs focuses on the new Sanhok map, while the other is based on the gameplay of PUBG which is being enacted by live action actors.
“The TVC was strategically launched, to coincide with the holiday season of Dussehra/Diwali when most of our players spend time watching telly, with their families,” says Tencent Games. “The launch of the TVC corroborates the substance of India as a market for PUBG MOBILE. We all know someone who plays PUBG MOBILE. This simple fact is testimony to the impact of the game in India. The transition from gaming sub-Culture to pop-Culture is imminent.”

The TVC would be aired on a host of Hindi and English Movie; Infotainment; English Entertainment; Hindi Music and English Music Channels. Viewers can catch the commercial on HBO HD, Star Gold, Sony Mix, VH1, Comedy Central, Discovery Channel and Star Movies, to name a few of the channels.
