In case you noticed, there were a lot of people who were using emulators for playing the mobile version of PUBG, so that they could get an upper hand with the mouse and keyboard controls. And now it seems developers Tencent wants a piece of that pie and edge out the competition by introducing an emulator by themselves.
Called the Tencent Gaming Buddy, this emulator like most others lets you enjoy PUBG Mobile from your PC using mouse and keyboard instead of the the touchscreen of the smartphone which can make things slower.
Tencent is probably trying to address the recent controversy of players using emulators to take undue advantage with this move and the official emulator which promises a high quality experience and will also come as a relief for the smartphone players. Tencent plans to match emulator users with other emulator users and not smartphone ones.
While the high quality experience is expected, Android Police tried their hands at it and have found that it is yet to be refined. We must remember that it is still in beta phase and from what the report says the game is rough on some interface issues as well like performance and frame rates.
We suppose that Tencent will be improving on these with time and bring a better experience for the players. This is a sound option from Tencent, for those wanting the mouse and keyboard experience for the mobile version. But then again, the company must also remember that certain people are using the unofficial emulators to join the mobile version to get an advantage over the smartphone users and have an easy win. So it is yet to see how Tencent will address this problem fully.
