Battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds introduced War mode a while back, and has since hosted many such events on the weekends. And it seems PUBG Mobile will now be adding the really popular mode for its players.
For those unaware, this mode is essentially a team death-match that takes place in a randomly enclosed area of the map. War mode sees two or more teams with more players than usual duke it out to get the highest score in the given time limit. Players drop into the small area enclosed by the fatal blue circle, with weapons and armor and it is an all out fight from the get go. Players have unlimited respawns, and drop down on the map with the next overhead flight after a death.

But it would be curious to see how Tencent Games implements the War mode on the Android and iOS versions of the game. But for the moment there is no official patch notes or release on the upcoming 0.7.0 patch or the War mode that will be added. According to NDTVGadgets, the rumored patch notes look something like this.
PUBG Mobile 0.7.0 update patch notes
– Arcade Mode – War – A new, faster-paced variation of Arcade mode.
– New Weapon – Added the SLR Sniper Rifle.
– Portable Closet – Players can now put outfits in their Portable Closets and instantly change clothes during combat.
The game servers faced some downtime last night though the dev team clarified on its Discord server that this does not have anything to do with an update, “This is a regular server maintenance, which doesn’t mean that the update is coming with the maintenance. Please be aware. Thank you.” The message also added that, “Any future updates will be conveyed to you. Keep an eye on this channel.”
