PUBG Mobile is gearing up for Season 2 and developers Tencent Games have announced that the servers will be offline for quite a while. The servers are currently down and are expected to be down for a total of eight hours before they are back up again.

When the servers will come back live, the Season 2 of PUBG Mobile will have officially started. And this means that all the scores might be reset (Tencent has not confirmed this) and season rewards will be given out.

The update that is supposed to come live is numbered 0.5.0 and we can expect some new cosmetic items to launch with the new update.

“To commute Season 1 results, the servers will be taken offline for maintenance on May 14th,” said Tencent in a message.

“Season 2 will start immediately when the servers come back online.”

Tencent Games has mentioned that the rather long downtime will be compensated for to the players by releasing a new item that will be available to everyone. Though it has not been confirmed what item this is, the developer has said that players should check in their mail as soon as the servers come back online.

Today’s update will be bringing the much awaited Miramar map on mobile along with some specific weapons like the Win94 rifle. Along with this players will now be able to select the map top play along with Arcade mode adding sniper support. Expect new Achievement avatars as well, along with scope toggles and new Profile options.
