Although it wasn’t too long ago that PUBG Mobile 0.8.0 rolled out, it seems we’re already on the bring on the next version. Version 0.9.0 is likely to roll out soon, as the global beta of the next version of the game has gone live. While the installation process for the global beta is a bit more complicated (and currently not entirely functional), we do have an idea of what to expect with the new version. BGR India has a copy of the official patch update notes for version 0.9.0, which details the changes to expect in the next version. We have the low-down on the changes to be expected with PUBG Mobile version 0.9.0. The next version is likely to roll out in the coming days, timed with the Halloween holiday that falls on October 31. Take a look at some of the key changes below. Perhaps the biggest change is the introduction of Night Mode on the Erangel Map. This will allow players to play under night-time darkness, thereby increasing the challenge in gameplay due to the reduced visibility of night time play. However, users won’t be able to definitively pick night-time gameplay; the map will alternate between day and right randomly in Classic Mode games. In order to further improve the game, night vision goggles will also be added to the game on this map for night games.
Apart from this, another big change comes in the form of a Halloween theme for the game. This can be seen in the main menu, as well as decorations in the spawn areas of all maps. Furthermore, enemies killed by the AKM weapon will become scarecrows on the map. This is part of the build-up to the Halloween holiday on October 31, which is a big occasion in the United States.
New Weapon, Vehicle usage improvements
A new weapon has been introduced to the Sanhok map: the QBU DMR. The gun replaces the Mini14 rifle on the map. Additionally, the Rony pick-up truck has been introduced, which can also be found only on Sanhok. Other changes include first-person perspective while driving, engine sound effects and more.
This is a key change that will help games going forward. The game will attempt to match teammates in random games based on language spoken, trying to match with players that speak the same language for better team games when matching with random players. Matchmaking speed and accuracy have also been improved.
Players can now spectate opponents even after they have been killed in a game, thereby improving the ability to spectate on a game in which players have already been eliminated. Spectator mode previous only worked in team games where users could watch their team mates’ actions after dying in the game.

General performance improvements
As is usually the case with updates, PUBG Mobile 0.9.0 will bring various performance and gameplay improvements, including resolutions for game-crash issues, reduced loading times and improvements in the game update mechanism.
While we don’t have a firm timeline on when the update will roll out, these changes are already live on the global beta version. However, we do expect the full version update to be made available by Tencent Games through the Google Play Store and in-game updating system in the coming days, timed with the Halloween holiday.
