It’s Halloween time and like most games PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is also taking part in the spirit of the holiday season. And this reflects more than ever in the new update that PUBG Corp has released for the game. In the latest PUBG PC update which is numbered as #23, devs are introducing a new automatic pistol named Skorpion along with lobby patch notes, changes to blue zone opacity UI changes and most importantly a host of new Halloween themed skins that is bound to scare a few people.
Besides these there are a lot of new bug fixes and a lot of balancing changes, as well as quality of life changes.
New Weapon: Skorpion
The new weapon is an automatic handgun that is first one to come with slots for a grip rail, stock and the usual extended magazine, red dot sight and suppressor. It can be found on all maps, uses 9mm ammo and only supports the extended magazine and not the extended quickdraw and the usual quickdraw.
Lobby Patch Notes
The latest patch notes of the game can now be viewed in game lobby. It can be viewed in a popup by clicking the Patch Notes icon in the top right. Videos that are in the patch notes can be viewed directly in the game without having to launch the browser.
PC Patch #23 is now available on the Live Server. This patch includes a brand new full-auto pistol, the new Conquest Mode Custom Game setting, improvements to custom games in general, and other bug and quality of life fixes.

There are some gameplay changes as well which include decreased recoil of the P18C pistol, and a decrease opacity of the Blue Zone which many people complained about. There are improvements to reticle changing functionality, control of wheel menu and TPP players will see animation when hit by enemy bullets.
Skin & Items
There are a host of new items being added with this update that include mummy outfits. Clown outfits and others. These will consume multiple slots and the reset time of the weekly random crate has been changed to Tuesday. The Store UI has been improved as well.
There has been an addition to the custom match as well and a new mode called War Mode: Conquest has been added. This new mode sets two Platoons (up to 50 vs. 50) against each other to capture and hold objectives within an area. Player Platoon earns points as they hold these objectives and the team with the highest score wins.
