UPDATE: The servers are back online and Update #21 is now live for PC
PUBG PC players are finally going to get their hands on the new update #21 and the new training map as it goes live in a few hours. The servers are down right now for maintenance and once it is back up, it will include the new Update #21, the new training map, a new weapon called MK47 Mutant, new vehicle for Sanhok called Tukshai and a new Supply System.
The new Update #21 of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was already live on the test servers for PC since last Friday where the developers were fixing the issues that came up with it. Now that PUBG Corp. is certain that all the major issues with the new update and content has been ironed out, it is being launched on the main servers.
Here’s a recap of PUBG #Update 21
Training Grounds Map
The Training Ground is a 2×2 map that will see 5 players drop in to try out all the various aspects of the game. Players can’t die in this mode and can hence go all out in whatever they want to do on this map. It comes with an array of zones where players can try out different things like jumping off ramps in vehicles, driving on twisting roads, controlling vehicle speed, driving a boat, driving off road, shooting different guns on different gun ranges, landing with parachute, parkour, using different melee weapons, trying different grenades, and learning how different consumables work.
The new update also adds a new weapon to all the maps, called the MK47 Mutant (Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok), which is an AR that uses 7.62mm ammo. This weapon can be outfitted with all the different attachments available in the game, but does not have a stock slot. A normal clip of the gun houses 20 rounds of bullets and an extended one has 30. This weapons does not come with an auto mode and can only fire a single shot or a two round burst.
Patch #21 brings a new attachment to the game called the Laser Sight, which can be used with SMGs, ARs, DMRs as well as Pistols in the game. This attachment will reduce bullet spread when hip firing and soft-aiming and attaches to the lower rail of guns. This means sacrificing the grip attachment.
The newest vehicle to be added to the Sanhok map with Patch #21 is called Tukshai, which is a three man vehicle that will be replacing the UAZ, Dacia and Minibus on the map. According to the patch notes, “The Tukshai is slower compared to the previous vehicles, but fits perfectly with Sahnok’s environment.”
