PUBG has been getting closer to it PS4 release and just days before the release of the game, devs have published a blog post with details of the launch of the game. The post confirms most of the things that we already knew about the launch and the versions and bundles that will be launched. The PS4 version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be hitting the servers on December 7 as planned.
In terms of content, the game will feature the three already available maps which are Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok. The blog does not mention the Vikendi snow map as part of the initial release, despite the previous leaks which talked about the snow map hitting the servers at the same time as the PS4 game. But the bundles mentioned in the blog includes the ‘Survivor Pass: Vikendi’ which confirms that the next map name in indeed Vikendi and also assures that it is going to be launched sometime after the launch of the PS4 version.
Sony is going to include a specially designed pixel art parachute skin with the game as a reward for players who log into the game starting December 7. On the other hand there are pre-order bundles that Sony has as well that include two exclusive pre-order digital skins: The Nathan Drake Desert Outfit from the Uncharted series, and Ellie’s Backpack from The Last of Us. Besides these, there are two other instant rewards: the PUBG avatar for your PlayStation Network profile as well as a theme.
