PUBG teased its snow map back in the E3 announcement and said that the map will be hitting the servers during winter this year. But we were treated to a whole array of leaks and recreations of the map based on the code that had been recovered by people. And with the launch of the PS4 version of the game impending tomorrow, PUBG has finally put out the official teaser trailer of the upcoming snow based map called Vikendi. The new map is all set to hit the PC test servers of the game today, and here’s what the official tweet on the PUBG handle reads, “Introducing Vikendi: A brand new map wreathed in snow. Winter has come to #PUBG and you’ll need to adapt if you want to survive. Play Vikendi starting tonight on PC Test Server! Launches on PC Live Server Dec. 19 and in January for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.” Also Read - Indian Army wants personnel to uninstall 89 apps including PUBG, Instagram, Zoom
This follows the regular pattern for PUBG, where maps are first introduced to PC, followed by the console. But this time around there is no news yet about when the map will be hitting the PUBG Mobile servers yet.
The video does not reveal too much about the map, but it seems like it shows the missile silo that has been showed in the renders and what appears to be the frozen lake. The video shows the frozen river and then a bird enters the scene and pecks at strewn backpack materials and the camera passes by a dead figure of online PlayerUnknown character and then takes the pin off a grenade.
