Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds event mode for this week brings back war, but it’s a notch bigger than the last time. Unlike last time when the deathmatch mode saw players in 10-man teams drop in a small area with random loot in Erangel, things look much better planned this time. ‘Desert Knights’, as the new event is called, will only have 10 five-man teams drop in a small zone on Miramar where they will battle it out to 200 points first to win.

Like last time, the matches will last for 15 minutes, and the safe zone will be small and fixed. Each kill will generate +3 points, and knock down will be worth +1 point. Conversely, knocking down a teammate will result in a -5 points. And the first team to reach 200 points within 15 minutes following this scoring system will be declared the winner.

Another difference from the last time is that players will be equipped with the top-tier items from the get go. Each player will drop out of the plane with a level three armor and helmet, along with care package exclusive weapons like the AWM, M24, Mk14, M249, Groza, or AUG. Besides this they will also be equipped with two grenades when dropping. And the weather setting will be evening on Miramar.

Both first person perspective and third person perspective will be available on all the available servers across North America, Europe, Asia, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and South America. But the Korean and Japanese servers will only feature the mode in the limited third person perspective.
