If there is one game that is dominating the news for the past week, it has been Red Dead Redemption 2. The game which hit the shelves on October 26 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has been receiving rave reviews from various sources. And people have been excited about the game ever since the first teaser of the game came out almost two years ago. But PC gamers are being made to wait, since there is no official announcement yet from Rockstar Games. For the record Red Dead Redemption the first edition of the game was not released for PC. But now some new evidence has come to light that hints that the game from Rockstar Games might just be coming to PC after all. The files in the Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app apparently has multiple references to a PC version of the game. These include graphics options and resolution as well. According to a report by Rockstar Intel, there are multiple references to PC in the file parameters of the companion app which include:
There are other graphics options mentions as well that include temporal anti-aliasing, resolution of water reflections, shadow quality and particle quality. There are even some mentions of PC in the files, which could potentially be a reference to the PC version like “SIGNIN_PC_APP_URL”. There are even mentions of the word Oculus which could possibly mean that the team is working on a VR version of the game.
