PlayerUnknown s Battlegrounds has had a rough patch over the last few months as it has lagged behind in competition with Fortnite. And the new map is part of the road map that the developers have outlined for this year. The new map which is set in a tropical island with high hills, canals and paddy fields is half the size of the other two maps available on PUBG right now. The developers recently announced that the new map will be named Sanhok, and has already seen three rounds of testing on the PUBG Experimental Server that was made available to a limited number of people. Players had to sign up to try the new map, and were invited to try the new experimental server that granted access to the new map during the three rounds of testing that has already taken place. The developers have now announced that Sanhok map is coming back for a second round of testing on 7.30AM IST on June 1, and will continue till 4.30PM IST on June 4.
The developers have said on a Steam post, This will likely be the final Sanhok test on the Experimental Server. If everything goes according to schedule, Sanhok will come to live servers near the end of June. Even after it launches, we ll continue making changes based on the feedback we get from you guys.

It seems like the roadmap that Bluehole had proposed is on track, what remains to be seen is how much difference the introduction of this new map makes to PUBG s fortune.
