Nintendo on Tuesday revealed one of its biggest instalments of the year in the form of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The company mentioned that the game will carry every single character from every Super Smash game till date, leading up to a roster of more than 60 playable fighters. The game is said to launch on December 7. To build up anticipation, the company has also put up a 25 minute video that carries footage of everything you can expect from the game.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also feature characters from games like Final Fantasy VII, Street Fighter, and even Metal Gear Solid. According to Verge, Nintendo also seems to have made changes to the players in order to fit the game style better. For example, Link now can use bombs and Mario employs a sentient called Cappy, which was introduced in Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo claims to have tweaked the players in order to keep the action quick.
Nintendo is also adding new playable stages. Some of the new ones include Great Plateau tower from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and a ramp-filled city scene from Splatoon 2. More characters are also expected to be added in the future, from newer titles. The company revealed that the latest fighter to join the roster is Splatoon Inkling from Splatoon 2. Meteriod’s Ridley will also be a playable character soon.

Nintendo also announced on Tuesday that Fortnite will be coming to Nintendo Switch. The popular battle royal game is available for free on the Nintendo eShop. The game looks and functions the same way, and also supports cross-platform gaming, with Xbox One, PC, Mac and iOS.
