WhatsApp finally enabled its stickers feature last month and offered a number of stickers packs in the main application. For the people who are interested in details about the sticker packs, WhatsApp has launched 12 stickers as part of WhatsApp. Most of the sticker packs available as part of the initial launch are already available on Facebook Messenger. But, the interesting part about this feature is that if you are an Android smartphone user, then you can easily create new sticker packs and add them to your WhatsApp. Also Read - WhatsApp or anybody else cannot read your chats, company assures highest privacy standards

In addition to that, a number of Android developers are launching sticker pack apps on Google Play Store. These apps come along with a number of stickers that users can add to WhatsApp. Most developers keep on adding more sticker packs in their apps with gradual updates. However, some developers are also posting apps on the Play Store that allow users to convert images on their smartphone as stickers. This would include all the images that one may have saved, or captured using their smartphone camera including selfies. Also Read - How to change your WhatsApp number

One of the apps gaining popularity for development of stickers on Android is called the Sticker Studio by Sven van der Zee. This free app allows you to snap photos or import images into it and then allows users to simply draw an outline around the portion you want to turn into a sticker. The initial version of the app launched with a number of limitations but most limitations were removed in later updates. It is arguably one of the easiest ways to create new stickers on WhatsApp.

Some of the restrictions with the app is that you will need to create at least three stickers before you can export a pack of them into WhatsApp. The app has limitation of 10 sticker packs with a maximum of 30 stickers per pack.

If you are someone who tends to be in a number of WhatsApp groups and would prefer sharing your own reaction stickers instead of those available on the internet then this app would be the one you need to download on your Android smartphone. Since the feature went live, the stickers seem to be the go-to thing for most WhatsApp users.

During the festive season, a lot of WhatsApp users tweeted that they have been only getting stickers from friends and family. If you wish to add a new human element to that feature then Sticker Studio will really handy. Other developers have launched their own apps like ‘Sticker Maker‘, and ‘Personal stickers for WhatsApp‘ that let you create your own stickers for WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that would let users search for stickers. While WhatsApp is new to the stickers feature, it seems to have gained popularity much faster than platforms like Telegram, Facebook Messenger and Hike Messenger, which have had stickers feature for a few years now.
