How to link your EPF with Aadhaar without signing in to your account

The EPFO has launched an online service that allows members to link their PF account’s UAN number with Aadhaar. Here’s how to go about it.

With Aadhaar becoming increasingly important, the government is making it mandatory to link your mobile number, bank accounts, and passport with Aadhaar. Until now, you needed to do the whole process offline by filling up the application form along with your UAN and Aadhaar details. You then had to get the documents attested and send them to the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) center. However, the EPFO has introduced an online service that lets you conveniently link your Provident Fund (PF) account with Aadhaar online. Also Read - Lost your Aadhaar card? Steps to link your UAN number with Aadhaar

You will need your 12-digit UAN (Universal Account Number) from EPFO handy. In case you’re not familiar with UAN, here‘s how you can retrieve your UAN number.

Step One

Now that you have your UAN number, visit the EPFO website here. Under Online Services, click on eKYC Portal.

Now, click on Link UAN Aadhaar (For EPFO Members).

Step Two

To link your UAN with Aadhaar, enter your UAN number, linked mobile number, and click on generate OTP.

Step Three

Now, enter the OTP followed by your 12-digit Aadhaar number, and click on submit button.

Step Four

The next screen will show you your UAN and Aadhaar number. Verify the details and then click on ‘Proceed for Verification.’

If your details such as full name and date of birth matches with your Aadhaar details, your EPF account will get linked with Aadhaar.
