Soon after Google officially launched the Android 8.0 Oreo update, OEMs have started working on the update for their respective smartphones. Back in November, Samsung rolled out the beta update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in the US, UK and South Korea. Now, the company has started rolling out the fourth beta, and also expanded the program to other countries including India. If you own a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ in India, and want to give it a try, follow the below mentioned steps. However before you do, it is important to note that this being a beta build, it is bound to have some bugs, and some apps and services may not work as expected. How to get Android 8.0 Oreo beta on Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+

To begin with, ensure that you ve signed into your device using the Samsung account. If not, create one when you start Samsung Members app. Once signed in, you will see notices section where you will find a link to register for Galaxy Beta Program.

Tap on the link, and then on the banner. Here, you will find all the information about the Galaxy Beta program, and a registration link at the bottom, click on it. Accept the terms and conditions, and it will register you for the beta program. If everything goes right, you can then head over to Settings -> Software Update -> Download Updates Manually.

After the registration is successful, you may have to wait for a few minutes for the update to show up. The update is 1.4GB in size. The update includes Android 8.0 Oreo features along with Samsung Experience 9.0 Upgrade which brings refined interface and new features to the smartphone.

Android Oreo update brings quite a few new features to Google s mobile operating system. These include background limits to extend the battery life, autofill to make sign-in process easier, notification dots shortcut to view unread notifications, picture-in-picture feature and more. The update also brings new emojis, improved keyboard navigation, LDAC codec for high-quality Bluetooth audio, and more.
