When you watch someone’s Stories on Instagram, the owner of the post can see who all viewed it. We would normally not care about that at all, because, well it’s social media and things are all out there, and that’s ok. However, there are people (*cough* ex’s *cough*) you want to know about, but you don’t want them to know that you know what they are up to. Therefore, if you want to be anonymously sneaky, there’s a way out!
Before we move ahead with the trick, we would sincerely ask our readers to not misuse the tip. Please support other users’ privacy. This is all meant for good intentions, and we do not support stalking. Only if you shake on being sincere, read on.
Assuming that we have a deal, let us take you through how this anonymity works. It is all about finding the right supporting app, and one of such is Story Reposter.
All you got to do is of course first download the app on your smartphone. Once you launch the app, it will ask you for a username, where you need to fill in the username of the person whose Stories you want to watch anonymously. Hit search.
The app will list the possible users you are looking for, choose the correct one, and you will be able to see that users Stories and Photos for the remaining time of the posts life. You can re-watch it if you want, and your name won’t show up in the ‘people who viewed’ list.
The app also gives you the choice to save the story. Just tap on Share, and choose Save image.
If you haven’t figured out how you stay anonymous in this yet, it’s essentially because the app never asked you to login or connect your own account. Which means it has no idea who is searching the profiles. However, everything has a flip side, and so does this. This trick doesn’t work for accounts that are private.
