Last year, 10.or launched three smartphones in India. Having single alphabet names (D, E, and G), all 10.or smartphones were launched under the company’s ‘Crafted for Amazon’ program and as such, are exclusive to Amazon India.
Now, 10.or is all set to launch a new smartphone in India. Likely to be called 10.or D2, the smartphone will succeed last year’s 10.or D, and launch on August 22 according to a report by Telecomtalk. The company has already started advertising the soon-to-be-launched on device on Amazon India, with the tagline – ‘The next is here’. There is also a video that all but confirms a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio on the D2.
The 10.or D was launched last year at a starting price of Rs 4,999. It’s very much possible that 10.or D2 will be priced in the same range as well. It’s also expected to run stock Android, just like all three 10.or smartphones that launched in 2017.

Recently, 10.or started rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo for its 10.or D smartphone. The update is about 1.2GB in size, and bundled with Android security patches up to June 2018. The Android 8.1 Oreo update for the 10.or D brings quite a few features such as new icons for Phone and Gallery apps, as well as the ability to have the notification shade change color automatically based on the wallpaper (dark/light). Other usual Oreo goodies such as Picture-in-picture mode, and Autosave of passwords among others are included with the update as well.
