The Mi 5 and Mi Max are the only Xiaomi smartphones in India mentioned in the list.

Xiaomi has shared a list of smartphones which are in line to receive Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 7.1 Nougat updates. Xiaomi is consistent in providing incremental updates for its custom MIUI, but is known to delay rolling out the major Android OS update. While Xiaomi has a long list of smartphones in its product lineup, the majority are running on the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company has also announced that its upcoming smartphones will all launch with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

This updated list naming 14 smartphones comes from Chinese publication ITHouse (spotted by GizmoChina). Here’s the detailed list on Xiaomi smartphones in line for the Android Nougat OS update.

The list however doesn’t mention the more popular smartphones in India such as the Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 3 and the new budget smartphones, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A. Although there isn’t any official confirmation on these smartphones, the update could be arriving soon. Xiaomi has released the Android 7.0 Nougat preview for the Redmi Note 4 and the beta version for Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A as well. Users can go ahead and download the beta version to test how it works on their smartphones. As for Redmi Note 3 users, they can download the Android 7.1.2 Nougat-based LineageOS 14.1 ROM, which is an unofficial OS.
