The first flash sale conducted by Lenovo last week was over in two seconds flat. At that time, the company had made available 10,000 units of the A6000. Unlike the last time, the company revealed this time that there were 200,000 registrations for today’s sale.
If you failed to register for this week s sale, then you can fresh register for next week s sale. The registration window will open at 6.00PM today on Flipkart. Looking at the demand for 4G affordable smartphones in India, Lenovo A6000 caters as another option in the segment where Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Micromax-backed Yu Yureka are already competing heavily, selling out online in seconds. The device was unveiled at CES earlier this month, and comes with LTE support. Notably, BGR India was the first to report about Lenovo s plans to launch the LTE-capable smartphone in India, a week before its CES unveil, and that it would be aggressively priced.
To recap on the specifications, the Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch HD (1280 720 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 64-bit capability and paired with 1GB of RAM. It features 8GB of internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, twin-speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology and a 2,300mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for 13 hours of talktime and up to 11.5 days on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, Dual-Mode LTE support (both TD-LTE Band 40 and FD-LTE Band 20), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped under Vibe UI 2.0.
