The A7000 managed to keep the tradition alive, as its predecessor was a huge success as well. All of Lenovo s A6000 units got over in a matter of seconds in all of its flash sales. Flipkart informs to all the lucky buyers to make the purchase quickly, as the device will be removed out of their carts after a stipulated amount of time.
The company also announced a special live flash sale at Flipkart s Bangalore office today. Lenovo invited the media to see, and once and for all put an end to all speculations, as to exactly how fast the devices get over in a flash sale.
The A7000 was unveiled at MWC, and was launched in India last week. The LTE-capable handset is priced at Rs 8,999. Besides its LTE capabilities, one of the talking points of the A7000 is its support for Dolby Atmos sound technology. This should ensure a richer sound experience, and Lenovo describes the A7000 as a smartphone built for entertainment on a budget.
As far as specifications are concerned, the A7000 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280 720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6752m octa-core processor paired with Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, it offers 8GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
In the photography department, there is an 8-megapixel autofocus snapper at the back with LED flash, supplemented with a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. The smartphone also includes a 2,900mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 16 hours of talktime and up to 264 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under Vibe UI.
