Yu has managed to sell around 145,000 Yurekas since launch in India. Boasting LTE capability and priced at a pocket-friendly Rs 8,999, it is little wonder that all the six flash sales till date have finished in a blink of an eye. These flash sales have left many users frustrated, and for select buyers who have repeatedly tried and failed, the company recently conducted a Golden Ticket sale. These selected users had the Yu Yureka automatically added to their shopping carts.
Only registered users will be able to participate in today’s sale. Last week, a lot of users were unable to buy the device as the reverse timer never showed due to a technical glitch. Last week s sale was over in six seconds.
To recap, the Yureka flaunts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 64-bit capability and paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Furthermore, the smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android KitKat.
