Movie screeners of the recently released Fury and four other movies that are yet to hit the big screen have leaked onto torrent sites post the Sony Pictures hack last week. Copies of Fury, Annie, Mr. Tuner, Still Alice, as well as To Write Love on Her Arms leaked on the torrent sites shortly after last week s hack attack, TorrentFreak reports. According to the piracy firm Excipio, 1.2 million unique IP addresses indulged in downloading the Fury’s screener have shown up on the peer-to-peer network till now. The number is huge, and it is only increasing. The latest hack to Sony Pictures could cost Sony a lot of money. In a statement to Variety, a company spokesperson said, The theft of Sony Pictures Entertainment content is a criminal matter, and we are working closely with law enforcement to address it . Except Fury, which was released in October, the other four titles haven t yet released. To Write Love on Her Arms, for instance, has a release data set for March of 2015.
Last week, all of the computers at Sony Pictures were hacked. An image of a skeleton appeared on its computers with a message that said, Hacked by #GOP. The hackers are estimated to have made a copy of 1,100GB of data from Sony s servers.
