Some of the most irresistible smartphones in recent times were announced in October in China. Smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Honor Magic 2, Nubia X and so on are packed with great specifications and some very interesting features that we can’t wait to try out. With that in mind, here’s a list of recently announced smartphones in China that we wish would soon arrive in India.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
Unlike its predecessors, the new Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 does not feature a thick-sized chin with selfie camera. Instead, the Mi MIX 3 sports a manual slider that hosts the dual selfie cameras, and other sensors on its slider. This allows the phone to boast slimmer bezels around its 6.4-inch AMOLED display, and deliver a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8 percent. It comes in enticing color
gradient variants like Emerald Green, Sapphire Blue and Black. It carries a price tag starting at RMB 3,299 (approximately Rs 34,900).
Honor Magic 2
Honor Magic 2 also sports manual slider design along with 91.5 percent screen space. It is the first Honor phone to feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner, 3D facial recognition, a triple camera unit, 40W fast charging, and dual-band GPS technology. It comes in color gradient choices such as Black, Red, and Blue. The base model of the phone is priced at RMB 3,799 (approximately Rs 40,000).
Xiaomi Black Shark Helo
Black Shark Helo is a gaming phone from Xiaomi’s sub-brand. It is the world’s first smartphone to feature 10GB of RAM. For heat dissipation while intensive gaming, the Black Shark Helo is equipped with two liquid cooling pipes. The Black Shark logo placed on the rear of the phone can glow since it features RGB LED underneath. The base variant of the phone costs RMB 3,199 (approximately Rs 33,700)
Nubia X seems to be the most interesting smartphone in the list since it is features two displays. There is no selfie camera on the phone, which allows the 6.26-inch LCD FHD+ screen at the front to deliver 93.5 percent screen ratio. The smartphone also features dual side-mounted fingerprint scanners. When the phone is flipped, the 5.1-inch OLED display can show the contents of the main camera. In stand-by mode, the rear screen can appear as a regular glass shell. Also, the rear display can function as a viewfinder while shooting selfies from the dual rear cameras. The device’s starting variant costs RMB 3,299 (approximately Rs 34,700).
Lenovo Z5 Pro
The Lenovo Z5Pro is yet another slider phone in the list, and it too features an under-display fingerprint sensor. The company claims that the phone offers a screen-to-body ratio of 95.06 percent. The handset is available in China for RMB 1,998 (approximately Rs 21,000).
Huawei Mate 20 X
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro maybe on its way, but we also wish Huawei would launch the Mate 20 X in India. This flagship phablet is designed with high-end gaming in mind. It features a massive 7.12-inch AMOLED display, and is backed by a huge 5,000mAh battery. The handset is also blessed with an impressive triple camera setup. Huawei is also selling an optional stylus for the
smartphone. The Mate 20 X costs 900 Euros (approximately Rs 74,800) in Europe.
After the launch of Apple iPhone X last year, numerous Chinese phone makers have launched notched screen smartphones. But with the launch of the Oppo Find X and the Vivo NEX, the companies are looking beyond the notch by opting for slider designs. Among the phones listed above, which one is your favorite?
