Xiaomi put 60,000 units of the Redmi Note 4G on sale today on Flipkart, with over 200,000 registered for the sale. But instead of flying off shelves in a matter of seconds as is the norm, today it took close to an hour for Flipkart to run out of stock. Last week, the Redmi Note 4G was lapped up in two minutes and 50 seconds. The registered buyers who managed to get the Redmi Note 4G into their carts, are asked by Xiaomi to complete the purchase by 6.00PM today, post which the device will be removed from their carts. With this sale, Xiaomi has managed to sell 200,000 units of the device in India on Flipkart. Additionally, Xiaomi has also begun selling the device through the offline route via Airtel offering lucrative 4G data packages. Airtel conducted its pilot offline flash sale in India last Friday.
To recap the specs on Redmi Note 4G, is priced at Rs 9,999. It is similar to the 3G variant, albeit with a couple of differences. The phablet is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB RAM. Connectivity options include single-SIM card slot, and the device supports both FDD-LTE at 1800MHz, and TDD-LTE at 2300MHz.
The phablet also features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 720 pixels) IPS display, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and 8GB internal storage, microSD card support, and a 3,100mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android KitKat wrapped under MIUI 5.
